OBORA: A COMPLEX SYSTEM FOR DAIRY AND BEEF LIVESTOCK MANAGEMENT
- Enables the proper management of livestock operating costs.
- Generates complete forms for ARiMR (Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture).
- Enables the transfer of registered insemination cases to the Fed-info system.
- Makes prognoses and provides reminders to perform scheduled operations.
- Enables effective herd management.
Functionalities
Semen Bank
Enables registration and circulation by the quantity and quality of stud semen.
- Register of suppliers.
- Semen data feed into the Semen Bank (input).
- Semen output (insemination, scrap, returns etc.)
- Developing records of different structure and scope; possibility to save record patterns for every user.
- Automatic update and semen level control after new insemination data feed.
- Print of cow/heifer insemination certificates.
Cattle register
Enables development of documents required by ARiMR (Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture).
- Cattle register is automatically updated based on the data fed into the system.
- Automatically filled documents for ARiMR.
- Reporting cattle to the register.
- ZReporting transfers.
- Reporting deaths.
- Transfers of cattle to cattle markets.
- Cattle inventory.
Visual evaluation of reproduction parameters.
The analysis of reproduction parameters comprises:t
- PR index (Pregnancy Rate) – the most synthetic index indicating a herd’s reproduction state. PR combines information about semen use, including the time of its use. E.g. PR = 25% indicates that 25% of the available cows become pregnant within every 21-day cycle. This is a very good result.
- CR index – (Conception Rate) – percentage of the efficacy of mating in a herd. E.g. 37% CR means 37 out of 100 matings are effective.
- HDR 1 index (Heat Detection Rate 1) – ntensiveness of use of the first heats. E.g. HDR 1 70% means that out of 100 first heats appearing after the shortest postpartum interval, 70 cows are used for re-mating.
- Indexes can be calculated for all calvings in a herd, as well as for selected groups of cows.
